What's New

PVX.Cad and PVX.View ship updates weekly. Here is what changed.

March 2026

Latest

PVX.Cad

  • Rack-level azimuth control. Set custom orientations per rack for non-standard site layouts. Fixed-tilt, tracker, and East-West racks all support arbitrary azimuth angles.
  • Rack design overhaul. Terrain Z-shear calculations, directional slope analysis per rack, improved pile coordinate export, and tracker gap handling. Designs on complex terrain are now more accurate.
  • Road and trench generation. Automatically generate road layouts and cable trench corridors within the site boundary. DC cable routing follows actual trench paths.
  • Corridor snapping for electrical equipment. Inverters, transformers, and combiner boxes snap to defined corridors for realistic placement.
  • Southern hemisphere support. Rack placement, slope analysis, and shadow calculations now work correctly for sites south of the equator.
  • Faster terrain loading. Satellite imagery and elevation data fetch in 4 parallel streams. Terrain loads significantly faster on large sites.
  • Lighter drawings. Module outlines use lightweight polylines instead of hatches. Drawing performance improves on sites with thousands of racks.

PVX.View

  • Financial dashboard. Interactive KPI cards, milestone timeline, and cash flow modal overlay. See NPV, IRR, and ROE at a glance without leaving the 3D viewer.
  • Revenue and cost charts. Annual stacked bar charts and cumulative cash flow line charts generated from your financial model inputs.
  • Video recording. Record MP4 flythrough videos directly in the browser. Share site walkthroughs with stakeholders without screen recording software.

February 2026

PVX.Cad

  • East-West (Dome) rack support. Design E-W configurations with capacity iteration. Racks generate as combined blocks for cleaner drawings.
  • Contour line generation. Generate contour lines from terrain grid data directly in AutoCAD. Useful for grading verification and civil handoff.
  • English and Turkish localization. All 27 dialogs and settings windows available in both languages.
  • 3D scene objects. Place transformers, inverters, and other equipment as 3D objects for realistic site visualization.
  • Slope and soil comparison tables. Total Area row added to slope analysis, soil hardness, and grading comparison tables for clearer reporting.
  • Cursor prompts. Interactive editor prompts appear at the cursor crosshair for all operations. No more guessing what the tool expects next.
  • Tile-based terrain processing. Large terrain correction payloads are chunked into tiles. Sites that previously timed out now process reliably.
  • Faster smoothing. Removed the 500-iteration hard cap on terrain smoothing. Complex sites run until the 10-minute time limit, producing better results.
  • Smoothing progress bar. Real-time progress reporting during terrain smoothing operations. No more staring at a frozen screen.

PVX.View

  • Initial public release. Interactive 3D terrain and panel visualization in any browser.
  • Solar resource assessment. Automatic irradiance, temperature, and climate data from PVGIS and NASA POWER.
  • Shadow simulation. Hourly shadow casting via raytracing on 3D terrain with monthly loss aggregation.
  • Financial modeling. 30-year cash flow projections with configurable NPV, IRR, and ROE.
  • Automated reports. Prospect Report and Shade Report generated as professional PDFs in one click.
  • Stakeholder sharing. Publish a unique URL. Anyone can view the 3D model without an account or download.
  • Water flow analysis. Visualize drainage patterns across the terrain surface.
  • Flight recording. Create animated camera flythrough routes through the 3D scene.

January 2026

PVX.Cad

  • AC cabling automation. Complete electrical design workflow from DC strings through AC collection to the point of interconnection.
  • Interactive equipment placement. Move inverters, transformers, and combiner boxes with automatic cable re-routing.
  • Dynamic pitch shadow optimization. Faster shadow calculations for dynamic row spacing scenarios. Large sites complete shadow analysis significantly faster.
  • Per-polygon elevation data. Import terrain data and associate elevation independently per PV area. Useful for sites with multiple terrain sources.
  • Improved cabling export. Cable schedules and Bill of Quantities export with corrected routing data.
