PVX.Assess: Assess & Report

Turn the completed design into a comprehensive assessment

PVX.Assess turns a completed PVX.Cad design into a comprehensive PDF assessment. It evaluates eight project risk factors, maps grid infrastructure and environmental constraints, and reports layout, P50/P90 yield, BESS, and financial results. Submit it from PVX.Cad as a queued cloud job; generation can take up to 30 minutes.

Eight risk factors, assessed from the completed project

PVX.Assess evaluates the completed design and its site context across eight risk factors. Each factor receives a High, Medium, or Low risk rating against its defined threshold, making the basis of the final assessment easy to review.

Factor What it screens Rating scale
Terrain slope Mean and max slope across the site against a fixed threshold High, Medium, or Low
Snow climate Snowy days per year and expected snow depth High, Medium, or Low
Soil erosion Estimated soil loss during the construction phase High, Medium, or Low
Grid access Distance to the nearest lines, substations, and power plants High, Medium, or Low
Environmental constraints Proximity to residential areas, protected areas, and aerodromes High, Medium, or Low
Production uncertainty Spread between P50 and P90 yield and the model sigma High, Medium, or Low
Drainage and placement Transformer and equipment placement suitability given site drainage High, Medium, or Low
River-flood hazard Modelled inundation extent and depth High, Medium, or Low

What is inside the assessment report?

PVX.Assess returns one PDF covering the site end to end: infrastructure and environmental context, the physical site assessment, a layout study, probabilistic yield, and financial analysis. Every section is generated from the same design and site data, so nothing needs re-entering by hand.

GRID
Grid infrastructure mapping
Nearest lines, substations, and power plants with distances
ENV
Environmental setting
Watercourses, residential areas, protected areas, aerodromes
SOLAR
Horizon and irradiation
Horizon profile and site irradiation analysis
LOSS
Loss assumptions

How do I generate an assessment?

PVX.Assess is submitted directly from PVX.Cad after the design is complete. The report enters the cloud queue, moves through Queued, Running, and Completed states, and can take up to 30 minutes to generate.

1

Complete the design in PVX.Cad

Finish the terrain, layout, electrical system, equipment, and other project inputs that should be reflected in the assessment.

2

Request the assessment as a cloud job

Submit the completed project from inside PVX.Cad. The report enters the cloud queue, and you can keep working while it runs.

3

Download the PDF from Status and History

Track Queued, Running, and Completed jobs. Report generation can take up to 30 minutes.

Assessment, then independent review

PVX.Assess produces the technical assessment from your design and site data: the risk screening, the layout study, the yield analysis, and the financials. Where a project needs an independently accredited inspection report, your engineering partner issues it using the same PVX outputs. PVX.AI is the platform that generates the assessment. Independent engineering review and accreditation, where required, rest with you or your chosen engineering partner.

Frequently asked questions

What is PVX.Assess?

PVX.Assess turns a completed PVX.Cad design into a comprehensive PDF assessment. It evaluates terrain, drainage, soil, hazards, climate, grid access, yield, and financials for project teams reviewing the finished engineering work.

How long does an assessment take?

PVX.Assess runs as a queued cloud job submitted from PVX.Cad. Track it in the Status and History tab and download the PDF when it completes. Report generation can take up to 30 minutes.

What does PVX.Assess use from my design?

PVX.Assess uses the completed PVX.Cad project, including its terrain, layout, equipment, electrical configuration, and other available site and design data. Complete inputs produce the most complete assessment.

Is the yield estimate bankable?

The report gives P50, P75, and P90 production with stated methodology and loss assumptions. These are probabilistic engineering forecasts, not guarantees, and final investment decisions remain part of your own due diligence.

Does PVX.Assess compare multiple sites?

No. PVX.Assess assesses one completed project per report. A portfolio requires one submitted PVX.Cad project and one report per site.
